Reading and Academic Writing Support
Program Description: AASL continues to offer Reading and Academic Writing support available at our S. Tampa office led by our team of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists trained in a variety of multi-sensory, rule-based, reading and writing programs. This will be customized 1:1 instruction that is provided to best support your child or teen in building his/her reading and writing foundations and to increase his/her current reading fluidity, level of comprehension, and execution across writing genres. The schedule for reading and writing support will be determined based upon client and therapist availability.
KEYBOARDING CAMP!
Sign up for an 8-week program that will introduce your child to the foundational skill of typing! Each participant is required to provide their own laptop computer. The classes will meet 2x/week for 60-minutes and will include movement activities, fine motor strengthening, typing, and more. As a part of the class, you will receive a 5-10 minute wrap up from one of our skilled therapists to review the strategies implemented in the class to support your child’s continued practice through the web based program we will be using. This will include our ‘Tip of the Week” to promote these same skills at home.

Recommended Ages: 7-12 years old
Dates: June 6th-30th and July 11th-August 4th (2x/week for 60 minutes)
Valrico Office Camp: Monday and Wednesday, 8:00-9:OOam
South Tampa Camp: Tuesday and Thursday, 11:00am-12:OOpm
Cost of Screening: $40 to determine eligibility
Total Cost for 8-week Program: $560 ($35/class for 8 weeks)
FEEDING CAMP!
Sign up for a 4-week therapist-led cooking class designed to increase exploration of food through play! Your child will engage in a variety of food based activities to help them explore the different colors, textures, smells, and tastes of foods. The class will include movement activities, tactile play, chopping, mixing, and more! You will receive a 5-10 minute wrap up from one of our therapists to review the strategies learned in class. Our goal is to form a cohesive group of children with similar skills, therefore, a screening will be required. Food will be provided.
