Handwriting Helpers
Program Description: This program is designed for children ages 3-6 and 7-10 years old, led by experienced occupational therapists. Children will participate in small, 1-hour group sessions, targeting the development of the underlying and component skills required for handwriting production (visual motor and perceptual skills, fine motor strength and endurance) as well as instruction on compensatory methods (tips and tricks to assist in spacing consistency, letter placement, line regard). Instruction is based on the Handwriting Without Tears Curriculum and interventions are delivered through developmentally appropriate, hands-on, & multi-sensory approaches to learning.

Move with Me
Program Description: This rhythmic movement group developed and led by licensed Occupational Therapists is a program designed for children of all ages. Small, 1- hour group sessions will focus on fusing brain-body connections while engaging in a variety of adaptive yoga inspired sensory-motor based activities. Sessions are designed to target organization of the central nervous system for increased attention and regulation, improved gross motor function and planning skills, increased strength and flexibility, and improved body awareness. Siblings are invited to join in on the fun!

Social Success
Program Description: This program, developed and led by experience Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, is designed for children ages 5-8 years old and 9-12 years old. Children will participate is small, 1-hour group therapy sessions targeting the development of social skills needed for successful interactions in peer relationships through occupation-based tasks (for example: collaborative games, projects, and activities). Groups will focus on establishing pro-social behaviors and learning social expectations, understanding and developing peer connections, and gaining the functional skills needed to participate as part of a group. Each child will engage in age-appropriate activities to build his or her social skills and lay the foundations for making and keeping friends.

Cost: $75 per hour There is also a $60 fee for a screening to qualify your child for participation in our program due at the time of the screening if you are not a current client and/or have not been previously evaluated by AASL.
