Olivia attended Florida State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and minor in Child Development. She pursued occupational therapy through Nova Southeastern University’s doctoral program, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She is thrilled to be a part of the AASL team!
Olivia’s commitment to serving others is demonstrated through her role as an AASL OT. Her love for the pediatric field grows with each patient she interacts with. Olivia has previous experience working and treating children from a few days old through 18 years. She has evaluated and treated children with a wide range of diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Sensory Processing disorder, developmental delays, Attention-Deficit Hyperactive disorder, and more. Olivia’s clinical expertise allows her to collaborate with families to build a personalized treatment plan that allows each child to flourish. Olivia has experience in strengthening skills such as: visual-perceptual skills, hand-eye coordination, praxis, bilateral coordination, fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care skills. Because play is a child’s main occupation, she loves to get creative and design fun-filled therapy sessions. Olivia seeks to foster lasting relationships with each AASL family.
Olivia has completed introductory courses for DIR FloorTime and hopes to receive additional training in this approach. FloorTime is a child-led strategy that promotes development by encouraging children to progress relationships through play.
Olivia was born and raised as a Florida girl and loves spending time with family in her free time. Her perfect day consists of going for a walk on Bayshore or group fitness class, playing with her dogs Banks & Brooks, trying out new recipes with friends, and spending time in Bible study.
