Samantha believes that collaboration is the foundation of successful therapy. By building strong relationships and working together, she strives to create individualized, engaging therapy that supports each child's unique strengths and helps them reach their fullest communication potential. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her beloved pets, exercising, and reading a good book!

Samantha earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Iona University in New Rochelle, New York, and her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Molloy University in Rockville Centre, New York in 2019.

Her experience includes working with young children in a preschool setting in New York City, serving as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in Hillsborough County Public Schools, and working in an outpatient pediatric setting after school. These experiences have strengthened her passion for helping children develop confidence in their communication skills while partnering closely with families, educators, and other professionals.

What is your favorite food?
Pasta! I love anything Italian related.

What is your favorite holiday and why?
Christmas is my favorite holiday of all time! I love the warm happy cheer it brings to everyone and the feeling of the holiday spirit. The decorations of lights and giving gifts to those I love to make it that much more special.

What is a cool hobby of yours?
I enjoy fitness, reading and all things beauty!

Favorite Halloween costume you wore as a child?
Esmeralda from the Hunchback of Notre Dame. My Aunt got us matching costumes, and she came with me to my school’s Halloween party. I felt like the coolest kid!

What did you want to be “when I grow up”?
a Veterinarian

Why did you become a therapist?
I enjoy working with children and wanted to be a part of their communication journey. I wanted to help empower children to better express themselves. I enjoy connecting with others and celebrating every milestone they make!

What’s the funniest thing one of your clients has said in a session?
When I first started working in Florida, one of my students told me that I needed ‘speech therapy’ because of my New York accent. She said, “Miss Cosentino you say things weird and wrong.” I couldn’t help but laugh.

What is one surprising/cool fact about you?
I went to Italy in High school with my music department and played in my school’s orchestra in Tuscany for a week.

What pets do you have?
I have two pets whom I adore so much. My cat, Saylor and my dog, Sophie!

What is your favorite movie?
I am torn between How to Lose a Guy in 10 days or The Devil Wears Prada.

What is your favorite song?
I Have Nothing by Whitney Houston

What is your favorite book?
The Court of Thorns and Roses series will always be my favorite. Can’t pick which one!
