More About Ms. Morgan!
What is your favorite food?
Pizza! My favorite is a Detroit style or New York style, but I’m definitely a Plain Jane and only like cheese, sausage, or pepperoni.
What is your favorite holiday and why?
Christmas! I love that it is more of a ‘season’ than just a day. I get to spend the whole month doing different traditions and making new memories with my family.
What is a cool hobby of yours?
My husband and I love anything outdoors like fishing, kayaking, and hiking. Our goal is to check off all the National Parks.
Favorite Halloween costume you wore as a child?
My mom was the BEST at making our costumes. If we had an idea she went above and beyond to make it happen. My favorite has to be when I dressed as a bubble bath. I walked around with a large tub around my waste, tons of balloons, a shower cap, long handled sponge, and a rubber ducky.
What did you want to be “when I grow up”?
I genuinely wanted to be a clown, however now they really scare me so I don’t think that would have panned out too well!
Why did you become a therapist?
I always knew I wanted to be in health care, but had a hard time deciding what field I wanted to venture into. I took a
rehab technician job at a pediatric hospital assisting the PT, OT and speech departments. I always found myself with the OTs when I had free time and helping them with making materials or observing sessions. I also love working with children. I think they bring such a unique and positive perspective to life even with the challenges they may face.
What’s the funniest thing one of your clients has said in a session?
We were working on grasping so I had set up a q-tip painting activity. She looked at the q-tip and said ‘Should I put this in my nose?’.
What is one surprising/cool fact about you?
My passion is feeding therapy, but I am a picky eater myself! I think this helps make my patients feel more comfortable exploring new food with me exploring it alongside them. It also has given me a different perspective that helps me to understand my patients and why the feeding journey is not always an easy one!
What pets do you have?
I have always grown up with different animals and even reptiles. I currently have a cat, Mia! I hope to soon get my dream dog, a Bernese Mountain Dog.
What is your favorite movie?
13 going on 30! I could watch this movie a thousand times and it still doesn’t get old.
What is your favorite song?
I have a very extensive taste in music because I grew up with a dad in a band. I would say my favorite song is the one my husband and I danced to at our wedding. ‘Blessed’ By Thomas Rhett
What is your favorite book?
I read a TON, so this is a really hard question because it all depends on what genre! I would say a book I always recommend is Fourth Wing, I just love how Rebecca Yarros really captured my attention which really allowed me to totally dive into the scenes in the book.
