More about Kylie…

What is your favorite food?

I think my favorite food has to be avocado toast with an egg on top! I love it so much that I eat it almost every day for breakfast.

What is my favorite holiday and why?

I love Halloween! I love the spooky and fun decorations, going to the pumpkin patch with friends and family, being able to carve pumpkins, and making themed desserts.

What is a cool hobby of yours?

I’m a big music lover and can play three different instruments, and I collect vinyl records! I also love to cook, bake, and read.

Favorite Halloween costume you wore as a child?

I dressed up as a diner girl from the 50’s one year, and it was an absolute blast! I had my roller-skates on all night so I was skating from house to house with a tray of toy food.

What did you want to be “when you grow up”?

When I was younger, I dreamed of playing in an orchestra that made music for movie scores and soundtracks. To this day, I love and appreciate all of the work that goes into those compositions, and enjoy listening to them while I read!

Why did you become a therapist?

I was heavily inspired by people I had met that had worked with my family personally. My younger brother had a speech therapist from the moment he was born for feeding and he continued to work with one throughout his life targeting multiple areas of his life. All of the professionals that would work with my family left such a positive impact, and only made our lives better. I knew I wanted to be able to help people and their families as well while leaving a positive impact in their lives.

What’s the funniest thing one of your clients has said in a session?

Kids are so funny, I love being able to work with them! I once had a student insist that she was going to be a bridesmaid at my future wedding, and was “starting to write her speech”.

What is one surprising/cool fact about you?

In the summer of 2019, I went to and lived in China for a few months to teach English at a school. It’s an experience I am eternally grateful for because I got to talk to amazing people, appreciate an enriching culture, and enjoy the best food!

What pets do you have?

I currently don’t have any pets of my own, but I am an adopted-aunt to many of my friend’s animals that I love to spoil!

What is your favorite movie?

I love all of the Harry Potter movies! I read the books and absolutely love the movies too. If I had to choose one, it would be the Sorcerer’s Stone because it also reminds me of being home with my family since we’d always have it on.

What is your favorite song?

This is such a hard one! There are so many good songs to choose from out there, but I think “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac is up there. The story behind it reminds me to always remain hopeful throughout all of the changes in life, because it always works out in the end! I also have a really positive memory hearing Stevie Nicks perform it live with my best friend.

What is your favorite book?

I loved the book series “Kingdom Keepers” when I was younger, I thought it was so cool to have a story about magical and adventurous things that could happen at Disney when the parks close. The love of fantasy books has definitely stayed with me into my adulthood too!
