More about Kristen…

What is your favorite food?
I’ll never say no to sushi!

What is your favorite holiday and why?
Christmas is my favorite. I love the warmth, the traditions, and the feeling of togetherness it brings. It’s such a magical time of year.

What is a cool hobby of yours?
I love creating styled charcuterie boards and tables, it’s like edible art and always a crowd-pleaser! I’ve even done them for big events like showers and weddings.

Favorite Halloween costume you wore as a child?
One year, I dressed up as Carly Patterson, the Olympic gymnast. I felt like a gold medalist all night

What did you want to be “when you grow up”?
I used to dream about becoming a teacher or a vet. Either way, I knew I wanted to help others.

Why did you become a therapist?
I’ve always had a heart for helping people find their voice, literally and figuratively. Becoming a therapist gave me a way to make a real impact.

What’s the funniest thing one of your clients has said in a session?

One of my articulation kids once said, “If people can’t understand me, that’s their problem.” It made me smile because while we’re working on clearer speech, that kind of self-assurance is something I never want them to lose.

What is one surprising or cool fact about you?
I once did a handstand on a cliff while hiking. Not right on the edge, but definitely enough to make it a memorable moment.

What pets do you have?
I have two sweet pups, Kota and Chandler. They keep life entertaining and full of cuddles!

What is your favorite movie?
I’m not much of a movie buff, but if you ask anyone who knows me, they’ll tell you I’m a Friendssuperfan.

What is your favorite song?
Home Sweet by Russell Dickerson

What is your favorite book?
These days, I’m deep in the world of children’s books, and I have to say, the Little Blue Truck series is a favorite
