Elizabeth Paige Callahan
Paige Callahan attended Florida State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health with minors in Biology and Psychology. She continued her education at Florida Gulf Coast University, earning her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy.
Paige brings a diverse background in pediatric development, rehabilitation, education, and community-based programming. Before graduate school, she worked as a rehabilitation technician at an outpatient therapy center and as a preschool assistant teacher. She also volunteered with playgroups for preschool-aged children, facilitated job readiness groups for adolescents transitioning from high school to the workforce, and participated in adaptive sports programming to promote inclusion and meaningful participation. Paige completed clinical fieldwork in school-based pediatrics, working with preschool and elementary-aged children, as well as inpatient acute care at Tampa General Hospital, including experience in the intensive care unit. These experiences provided her with a broad understanding of developmental needs, functional independence, and the importance of individualized, client-centered care.
Paige is passionate about helping children build the skills and confidence needed to participate in everyday activities at home, school, and in the community. Her clinical interests include sensory processing, fine motor development, visual-motor integration, self-regulation, developmental milestones, and play-based intervention. She values understanding each child’s unique strengths and challenges and believes therapy is most effective when it is engaging, purposeful, and tailored to the child. Paige also recognizes the important role parents and caregivers play in their child’s progress and strives to build collaborative relationships that support skill development beyond the therapy session.
Outside of work, Paige enjoys going to the gym, exploring new restaurants, spending time with family and friends, and spending time outdoors with her dog.
