Lillian Blackmon

Occupational Therapist

Lillian attended The University of Florida, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Health Science and a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Occupational Therapy.

Upon graduation, she began her pediatric occupational therapist career by serving children with a wide range of diagnoses and in a variety of settings (i.e. home, school, and clinic) around the Tampa Bay area.

Lillian then moved back to the home of her alma-mater (Gainesville, FL) to pursue further competency in the art of sensory integration practice through mentorship, continuing education courses, and experience. After receiving mentorship and training, Lillian incorporates principles of Handwriting Without Tears, Therapeutic Listening, Zones of Regulation, Wilbarger Protocol (Therapressure), and Trauma Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) into her daily practice. Lillian is also certified in the provision of Astronaut Training: A Sound Activated Vestibular-Visual Protocol for moving, looking, and listening.

Lillian strives to provide children with the “Just Right Challenge” through playful engagement which she believes is necessary for building their developmental skills and mastering independence. She believes the end goal of children’s therapy is joy of life- attained through social participation, self-regulation, and self-esteem.

Lillian is both honored and excited to be a member of the All About Speech and Language Team and fulfilling its mission to help children communicate, grow, and connect.

Since recently moving back to the Tampa area, she enjoys spending every moment she can with her niece, family, friends, and furbabies- her cat and dog.
